Defense section tasks

• The Defense Attaché is the highest appointed military representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bulgaria;
• The Defense Attaché is the primary contact for issues concerning the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; 
  
• The Defense Attaché is the primary contact for Bulgarian military and industrial representatives for issues concerning the Royal Netherlands Air force, Army, Navy and

Marechaussee; 

• The Defense Attaché keeps political and military officials in the Ministry of Defense and the Headquarters of all Armed Forces informed of the developments and trends in the Defense issues of Bulgaria;
• The Defense Attaché maintains close contact with the representatives of the Bulgarian Armed Forces and foreign accredited Defense, Naval, Military and Air attaches in Bulgaria.
