SICA acts as an international arts desk and helps Dutch and non-Dutch organisations to find their way in the field of international cultural activities by providing information about opportunities, possible partner organisations, Dutch cultural activities and projects, financial mechanisms and (international) networks. It encourages the co-ordination of international cultural activities and stimulates a lively interchange of expertise and experience within the field of international culture. An information service for the EU framework programme Culture 2000, the Cultural Contact Point the Netherlands / CCP has been incorporated into the SICA organisation. SICA continually works on improving its information service by expanding and updating all the information it makes available for wider use. Information is distributed through this web site, the quarterly magazine SICAmag, fact sheets, workshops and conferences and directly via the SICA consultants.
